Mentoring

The aim of the mentoring program is to support Australian businesswomen to engage in international business through the facilitation of relationships with mentors who are already successfully trading internationally.

Read about the experiences of a WIGB Mentee and Mentor highlighted in AIGroup’s Industry newsletter

Mentors share knowledge and experiences on a voluntary basis, providing advice to the Mentee and opportunities to learn and grow. Sharing challenging experiences and successes are essential factors in the success of the relationship. Mentors must be active exporters to qualify.

Mentees are less experienced internationally and learn to develop their capabilities and skills within a supportive framework. Mentees are required to pay a $385 including GST registration fee.

Scholarship for Western Australian Mentees
The Department of Local Government and Communities (Western Australia) supports initiatives that enable Western Australian women to enhance their entrepreneurial endeavours, economic independence and leadership opportunities.

The Department is supporting 16 scholarships, over several intakes, for Western Australian women to participate in Women in Global Business’ mentoring program.

Applications for the WA scholarship should be sent to this info@wigb.gov.au with EOI WA-WIGB mentoring scholarship in the subject line.  Closing date for the Winter 2016 intake is 30 June 2016. For further enquiries, telephone (03) 9648 3285.
